Arley Arboretum 10.2 miles

One of the oldest privately owned arbotetums in Great Britain with a listed walled garden containing a formal Italian garden with fountain. In a beautiful setting by the River Severn and only open since 2002. Good for picnics. Tearoom on site

Avoncroft Museum of Buildings 8.9 miles

An open air museum of rescued buildings which have been relocated to the museum site just outside Bromsgrove. Opened in 1967 the museum's collection comprises 27 buildings and structures rebuilt on the site. They include a fully functioning Windmill, a post WW2 prefab house, the mangnificent Guesten Hall , a Victorian church , a working chain shop and much more.

Black Country Living Museum 13.4 miles

In the shadow of Dudley Castle in the heart of the Black Country. Historic buildings have been moved and authentically rebuilt at the museum to create a tribute to the skills and enterprise of the people who made them. Costumed demonstrations bring the buildings to life and are both knowledgeable and funny in the unique Black Country way. Restaurants on site

Bodenham Arboretum 5.5miles

Situated near Wolverley just outside Kidderminster is a garden begain in 1973 and is an oasis of plantations, pools and avenues all beautifully landscaped. There are over 3000 species of trees and shrubs from all over the world. Visitor Centre and Restaurant on site.

Hanbury Hall 11.9 miles

A National Trust run historic house near Droitwich. William and Mary style house built in 1701by Thomas Vernon,a  Whig Mp for Worcester. Surrounding the house are twenty acres of recreated 18th c gardens and 400 acres of Park.

Hartlebury Castle Museum 2.2 miles

Home to Worcestershire County Museum and once home to the Bishops of Worcester for over 1000 years. The museum exhibits a large range of collections from Gypsy Caravans to toys through time as well as authentic room sets such as schoolrooms and sculleries.

Harvington Hall 2.1 miles

Jinney Ring Craft Centre 11.8 miles

A traditional craft centre near Bromsgrove with a large Gallery and Shop. There are craft workshops on site as well as  a farmhouse restaurant for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. You can see skilled craftsmen at work in what is one of the most visited craft centre in the West Midlands.

Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust 22.7 miles

The trust runs ten museums and manages 35 historic sites within the Gorge in shropshire which is widely considered to be the birthplace of the INdustrial Revolution. You will need a full day to fully take in all that is on offer here.

Severn Valley Railway 2.5 miles

The 16 mile line runs along the Severn Valley following the course of the River Severn for much of its route. Steam locomotives are mainly used along the route and some diesel traction as well. This is now one of the foremost heritage railways in the country. Trains run from Kidderminster, via Bewdley to Bridgnorth through wonderful countryside.

Stourport Canal Basin 4.2 miles

Stourport began as a canal town and the basin remains largely intact from the golden age of canals. A recent restoration and regeneration project has returned the basin to it's original georgian spendour. Plenty to see including the locks at work and the five historic basins which house nearly 100 narrow boats.

West Midland Safari Park  6,5 miles

The park covers at least 200 acres incorporating a four mile self drive safari where you can see African Wild hunting dogs, White Tigers, Elephant, Giraffe, Rhino and Wallabies. On foot there is Pets corner, Sealion theatre, a new Seaquarium as well as a fun fair area. A great day out with the kids.

Witley Court 12.3 miles

A Grade 1 listed building and managed by English Heritage. These are spectacular ruins of a stately home once owned by the Earl of Dudley. Situated at Great Witley in wonderful Worcestershire countryside , there is still an intact Baroque church and the Perseus and Andromeda Fountain. The gardens are also in the process of restoration. Visitor Centre and Cafe onsite.

Worcester Porcelain Museum 13.2miles

The museum houses the world's largest collection of Worcester Porcelain. It houses over 10,000 objects made between 1751 and the present day. In the heart of historic Worcester and close to the Cathedral.
